Assessment Levels for Fiscal Year 2026-27

At a public meeting held on July 21 2026, the District’s Board of Directors set the assessments for the 2026-27 fiscal year for irrigated and non-irrigated lands.   The funds raised by these assessments enable us to represent your interests in the coming years as we work to implement the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) pursuant to the ongoing Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The assessment set for this fiscal year is within the maximum assessment approved by landowners on July 21, 2020.  

The current Assessment values are:

• Irrigated Land - $30.00 per acre
• Non-Irrigated Land - $0.30 per acre​
• Non-Overlying Land - $0.00 per acre
• Minimum Assessment - $50.00

On July 21, 2026, an assessment levied by the San Antonio Basin Water District for the 2026-27 fiscal year became due and payable.    

The District is requesting payment by Friday, October 9, 2026. The assessment will be delinquent if not paid by Monday, February 8, 2027. Invoices were mailed out August 10, 2026
